Let’s try and get together on Thursday and Friday this week for our 1st Machine Quilting Class. I know that quite a few of you are chomping at the bit to get going on the quilting part now that your tops are finished. However, we won’t be working on the tops for a while because there needs to be quite a bit of practice before you’re ready to work on the top.

These will be our last classes of the year. We will be going to ABQ to pick up my MIL and bring her up to live with us for a while and I know the holidays will be upon us. So you can practice and we will get together again in January.

Please drop me an email and RSVP so I know how many tables I will need to set up for. I will be providing the batting and will have that precut for those in attendance. THANKS!

Class Times:
Thursday, December 4th; 7:00 PM; My House
Friday, December 5th; 9:00 AM; My House Notice! The time is early on Friday. Hudson has a Preschool Fieldtrip at Noon, so I need to be done earlier than before.

Please Bring:
Your Sewing Machine; Don’t forget foot pedal or electrical cord
Basic Sewing Kit; scissors, thread, bobbins, needles, etc. . .
Walking Foot (See http://basicallyquilting.blogspot.com/2008/11/walking-foot.html)
Quilting Foot/Embroidery/Darning foot (I will be posting a pic to basically quilting ASAP)
Safety Pins approx 1” – 1 ¼” long
Scrap fabric or muslin. Something plain will be easier to see your quilting on. At the very least you’ll need a yard of fabric for front and backing practice pieces.
